Begin by printing the animal cards (circles).
Cut out the individual play cards.
Print out the addition form (left) and the addition table (right):

You will need one or two dice.
Throw the first die.
Shade in the number thrown in the first column.
Write the number thrown in the second column.
Pick an equal number of cards and place them on the left side of the addition form.
Write the plus sign + in the third column.
Throw the second die.
Shade in the number thrown in the second set of dice of the first column.
Write the number thrown in the fourth column.
Pick an equal number of cards and place them on the right side of the addition form.
Write the equal sign = in the fifth column.
For example, the card placement for the following two dice is:

Count all the cards you have placed, and write the result in the sixth column.
Notice how similar addition is to counting. You simply count two groups together.
