I don't own a Kindle. Do I need to purchase a tablet to read Amazon eBooks?
The short answer is: No need to purchase anything other than your eBooks.
While Kindle tablets exist, Kindle is also a software.
The Kindle software is a free Reader and can be installed on nearly any type of computer, so you don’t need to buy a tablet.
The following is a link to the PC version of the free Kindle Reader. Other Kindle versions exist, but this one supports textbooks, which this team prefers.
